You use Guide Builder in Designer ES to create and edit form guides. Guide Builder allows you to modify all aspects of how your form guide is displayed.The first step in creating a form guide is to open an existing form design or create a form design in Designer ES.
Note: When you open Guide Builder, it creates a new form guide for your form. By default, the form guide includes a section and a panel.Form guides support a limited set of the scripting properties and methods that are available in Designer ES. Form guides support the same properties and methods as HTML forms. Guide Builder displays a message if your form guide includes unsupported properties and methods, and displays information about scripting errors when you preview a form guide.For more information about which properties and methods are supported in form guides, see Summary of supported properties, methods, and events.

1. In Designer ES, select Tools > Create Or Edit Form Guide.
2. If Guide Builder is in simplified view, click Show Properties.

8. Preview a panel layout in real time in the right pane or preview the form guide in a browser. You may need to preview the form guide and make changes in Guide Builder several times. (See Previewing a form guide.)
