To prepare form designs for use in LiveCycle Workspace ES

With a LiveCycle Process Management ES license, you can render a form design to a client in these output types:

•

HTML

•

PDF

•	Form Guide

HTML output

You can render an HTML form to LiveCycle Workspace ES and transform it to an HTML form. You can select the type of HTML transformation that is created to support different HTML formats.

To prepare an XDP form design for HTML output

1.	In the Object Library palette, click the Custom category to display the list of objects.

2.	Drag the Process Fields object onto the form.

3.	Select File > Save.

PDF output

You can render a PDF file or XDP file to a client device and generate a PDF transformation as a PDF file in LiveCycle Workspace ES.

To prepare an XDP form design for offline capable PDF output

1.	In the Object Library palette, click the Custom category to display the list of objects.

2.	Drag the Process Fields object onto the form.

3.	Select File > Save.

To prepare an XDP form design for online only PDF output

1.	In the Object Library palette, click the Standard category to display the list of objects.

2.	Drag the Button object onto the form.

3.	With the Button object selected, in the Object Library palette, click the Field tab.

4.	In the Control type area of the Object Library palette, select Submit.

5.	Select File > Save.

To prepare an XDP form design for certified PDF output

1.	In the Object Library palette, click the Custom category to display the list of objects.

2.	Drag the Form Bridge object onto the form.

3.	Select File > Save.

To prepare a PDF form design for online only PDF output

1.	In the Object Library palette, click the Standard category to display the list of objects.

2.	Drag the Button object onto the form.

3.	With the Button object selected, in the Object Library palette, click the Field tab.

4.	In the Control type area of the Object Library palette, select Submit.

5.	Select File > Save.

To prepare a PDF form design for certified PDF output

1.	In the Object Library palette, click the Custom category to display the list of objects.

2.	Drag the Form Bridge object onto the form.

3.	Select File > Save.

Form Guide output

You can render a PDF or XDP form guide.

To prepare an XDP or PDF form design for form guide output

1.	In the Object Library palette, click the Standard category to display the list of objects.

2.	Drag the Button object onto the form.

3.	With the Button object selected, in the Object Library palette, click the Field tab.

4.	In the Control type area of the Object Library palette, select Submit.

5.	Select File > Save.

To use a form that was created in Acrobat in LiveCycle Workspace ES, you must use Acrobat to prepare the form design. For instructions, see Preparing Acrobat forms for use with the User service in LiveCycle Workbench ES Help.
