To import an Adobe Output Designer Form file

Before you can import Adobe Output Designer files (IFD) into LiveCycle Designer ES, you must install Output Designer 5.4, 5.5, or 5.6 on the same computer as LiveCycle Designer ES.

LiveCycle Designer ES displays the File Import Options dialog box each time you import an Adobe Output Designer Form file.

1.	Select Tools>Import.

2.	In the Files Of Type list, select Adobe Output Designer Form (IFD).

3.	Navigate to the file you want to open, select the file, and click Open.

4.	In the File Import Options dialog box, select options as needed:

•	To create a temporary log file (convertifd.log) that records information about the conversion process, select Generate a Trace Log of the Conversion Process.

•	To use the Output Designer configuration file to generate PDF form file, select Output Designer PDF configuration.

•	To use the Output Designer font conversion file to map font substitutions that occur during the conversion process, select Map Fonts using the supplied conversion.

5.

Click OK.
