To insert a fragment reference

You can use fragments to reuse content in multiple forms. When creating a form design, you insert a reference to an existing fragment and the fragment appears in the form design.

After you insert a fragment reference, you can reposition it in the form design.

When you update a fragment, all forms that reference the fragment reflect the changes when you open or save the form in LiveCycle Designer ES. If you update a referenced fragment after you save a PDF form, the old fragment is still visible when you view the PDF form in Acrobat. To update the fragment that is visible in the PDF form, you must resave the PDF form in LiveCycle Designer ES

Note:

You cannot insert a fragment in a form created by importing a PDF file as artwork. For more information, see About importing PDF documents as artwork.

To insert a fragment from the LiveCycle Workbench ES repository:

1.	In the LiveCycle Workbench ES Resources view, select the file that contains the fragment to insert.

2.	Drag the fragment onto the form design.

To insert a fragment from the Insert menu:

1.	Select Insert > Fragment.

2.	Navigate to the file that contains the fragment.

3.	Select the file.

4.	If the file contains more than one fragment, select the fragment.

5.	Click OK. The fragment appears in the center of the visible page.
