To align the contents of a cell

You can change the horizontal and vertical alignment of the contents of a cell.

1.	Select the cell. See To select a table, row, column, cell, or section.

2.	In the Paragraph palette, select one of the following alignment options.

 

Task	Selection
Left-align the contents of the cell	Align Left
Center-align the contents of the cell	Align Center
Right-align the contents of the cell	Align Right
Justify the contents of the cell Note: Full justification is applied to all of the lines except the last line in a multiple-line cell (single line paragraphs cannot be justified).	Justify
Align to the top of the cell	Align Top
Align to the middle of the cell	Align Middle
Align to the bottom of the cell	Align Bottom
